Projects

Here are some projects I lead and open to the public:

  • The Generic Handshake Protocol. A Machine2MES communication protocol that gets connected Manufacturing Equipment (Frontend, Backend, Platting, Machining, etc.) from the shopfloor to the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) of the Plant. This protocol is based on the TCP/IP for real-time communication and message processing. The project is composed of the GHP Specification (75 pages) and the corresponding program suite (Module, Workbench, Configurator, Translator, Tracer, Reporter, etc.) and covers the assembly of Units, Panels, Carriers, Panels, Magazines, Equipment, and many other manufacturing entities with discrete, batch, and anonymous production mixes. The GHP runs since 2009, in 70+ Plants, and connects more than 7,000 pieces of equipment in two large companies of automotive electronics manufacturing. The GHP is a windows based application suite but it can be implemented in any OS platform.
  • The Leadershift App. A Productivity Tool for Executive Managers. It allows you to define resources, projects, items, updates, and people, and it allows you to keep meeting agendas across all these entities. You can link any entity to any entity and get consistent information across your scope of responsibility as an executive: One-on-Ones, Skip-level, Core Management, Project Management, Department Reviews, Employee Performance, Performance Improvement Plans, and any other kind of activity, task, information, etc. - you name it!
  • The Leadershift Blog. A Personal Knowledge Base that stores actionable models, and business and technology frameworks that serve as the basis for Framework Thinking. I have used over the years several tools: ConnectedTextTiddlyWiki, Dynalist, Notion for private use, and lately this blog.
